Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy is intended to help protect our network and the Internet community from irresponsible or illegal activities. MSS Internet customers shall not (nor shall they permit or assist others to) abuse or fraudulently use our services, including but not limited to the following:

1. Unsolicited bulk email or "spam".
2. Spamming Usenet newsgroups.
3. Maintaining an open mail relay.
4. Attacks on other Internet domains or hosts including portscans, rootkits, trojans, backdoors, denial of service, and intentional sending of email viruses or worms.
5. Forging email header information or IP addresses.
6. Obtaining or attempting to obtain services by any means or device with intent to avoid payment.
7. Any activity that potentially could harm MSS Internet’s network, its backbone provider’s network, or another customer’s network.
8. Use of the Internet for purposes prohibited by local, state or federal law.
9. Distributing pornography or hate literature, legal or otherwise.
10. Engaging in any of the forgoing activities using the service of another provider, but channeling such activities through MSS Internet's network.
11. DMCA Policy – If MSS Internet receives complaints or notices from copyright holders under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, they will be forwarded immediately to the responsible customer. Customers must respond to copyright holder within 1 week and send a copy to MSS Internet, either challenging the validity of the complaint and taking responsibility for resolving the dispute, or stating that the infringing material has been removed. Otherwise, MSS Internet may remove the allegedly infringing material or otherwise protect itself from legal action by copyright holder.
